This workshop is a must for anyone who sits at a desk, drives a car, carries a baby, lugs too many grocery bags at once to save that extra trip from the car, runners, surfers- everyone really.

When our bodies move in repetitive ranges of motion tension becomes embedded in our tissues. Most of the time we don’t even notice it is there because it’s been there for so long.

This workshop will give you simple tools you can take home for self myo-fascial release. We will use trigger point release using spikey balls, high density balls, double ball toys, and foam rollers to delve deep into this build up of ‘webbing’. When we are able to detangle these build ups it allows our body to find a larger range of motion, function and fire correctly and increases the blood flow and circulation without our system.

This is a feel good workshop and not painful as you are in complete control of the intensity. You will cover the whole body from the tips of the toes to the crown of your head using rolling, acupressure points and easy self-massage techniques to learn about your body and how to reduce tension build up. The workshop will be discussion based, experiential, fun and educational for all. You will leave feeling completely released and absolutely AMAZING.

What is Fascia?

Fascia is a specialised system of the body that has the appearance similar to a spider’s web or the white stuff you find on an orange. Fascia is very densely woven, covering every muscle, bone, nerve, artery and vein, as well as, all of our internal organs. Trauma, inflammatory responses, surgical procedures, and repetitive movement patterns create Myo-fascial restrictions that can produce unbalanced pressure within our bodies and affect our overall posture.
