Wendy’s Cob Bread Dip
While making your abs cry, Wendy wowed the Pilates class this morning with this recipe that everyone wanted written down.
Identity and Authenticity
Imagine unzipping this skin, and stepping out of it. Underneath is a fresher ‘you’. A more authentic being, closer to the real you. Relax into this. If it feels good to stay here, appreciating a new freedom, stay.
Claiming and Reclaiming
Recently I had the chance to spend a whole day at the computer… how many hours of movement it takes to counteract a work day spent sitting?
What are you loving about Spring?
What an instant mood lift for us all to awake to sunny blue days after the wettest August in 16 years.
I am loving the Dr Suess influence while collecting blue – yes, see right, blue! – eggs while caring for our neighbour’s chickens.
I love that I have spring cleaned a few rooms and spirited away
Aunt Deirdre’s Birthday Chicken
This was such a hit with my guests and everyone wanted to recipe. My only ego error in the creation was that I prepared it while chatting with my guests, so they got to see how easy it was to make! It’s a great ratio for special guests: It tastes like a 10 in yumminess but is not more than a 2 in degree of difficulty
A Fairyland of Perceptions and Misperceptions
Last weekend we were greeted at the entrance by a friendly man in fairy wings and a magnificent kingly crown. Huge butterfly fairies on stilts floated past. A passing magician stopped to entertain the kids with sleight of hand tricks. We enjoyed the sausage sizzle and afterwards were offered popcorn and fairy floss. Was it a kids party? Nope. A school fete? Negative. An early Spring fair? Wrong again. Instead, we were at the hardware store researching paint colours.
I’ve been thinking a lot about self-perception. And it’s partner misperception. And this was the icing on the cake. When a billion dollar hardware chain masquerades as a fairy party, what can we rely on for certain? It feels even harder for us to get a true understanding of who we are.

Lentil Cookies – Easy Easy Easy
It’s still technically winter. So I am still on the bean blitz. So warming, hearty, healthy and as a qualified naturopath and yoga teacher mode I really do care sincerely about your bowels! The lentils add fibre and protein to you sweets. They substitute for and therefore lower the fat content of usual cookies I promise no one will ever guess there are lentils inside these bites. However they do mean you can‘t skimp too much on the sugar as the lentils really soaks up the sweetner. But hey, bikini season doesn’t start just yet.

Magic Bean Chocolate Cake
Does it get any better than this? Moist, dense chocolate cake with loads of protein, fibre, and not a trace of gluten. So yummy it doesn’t even need icing. Thanks to my yogi neighbour and cool cook Kristen for this adapted thermomix recipe. Visitors to our studio had the cupcake version of this. My pre-schooler’s first attempt, one large round cake was deliciously moist inside and stayed scrumptious for days. What are you waiting for?
