Stuck hanging mid air, I looked straight down at the free fall drop. It felt really really high. It was impossible to go back. The only way was down. I took a breath. I let go. And I fell.
On this family trip to Canberra, we were visiting groovy science museum Questacon. I had just had a birthday. I really felt like trying something brand new. So I donned their overalls, climbed the stairs and that’s how I found myself hanging ready for the free fall drop. The fall, once you let go, feels really long, even though it’s a short second or two before a long slippery slide takes you to ground level. Not really dangerous, but scary. Perfect for a mid 40’s mother of 2 who used to be outrageous in prior decades. And how did it feel to try something new? It felt GREAT: Trembling. Triumphant. But Terrific!
So, when was the last time you tried something new? Does life feel a little ho-hum as you head into Winter? Well, we are offering you something brand new which, like my free fall, might leave your muscles a little jittery and will give you a great high.
Booty Barre has arrived! – a blend of ballet, pilates, yoga moves set to funky music and guaranteed to get your heart pumping. You’ve got to come try it out, especially if you the cardio element is missing from your work out. There’s been lots of press about the importance of cardio and strength work as we age. So, for me, Booty Barre provides the third leg of the stool. I want to be young and strong as my kids grow and down the track I want to be a vibrant granny. I am so impressed how well Booty Barre works for pelvic floor, upper and lower body toning and it’s fun, feminine and dancey with great music. Find out more here
