Did you realise, dear student, you  have unknowingly been voting on this!!

My eldest daughter started kindergarten last week. With all the preparations over the last few months have had much cause for soul searching. The penny really dropped for me at her kindy orientation last year. School was suddenly close and concrete. I was losing my first born and I was struck by a sadness I wasn’t expecting.  With this sadness came the realisation that if we wanted a third, it was now or never. I noticed acutely several mums with bumps at that orientation and I figured I wasn’t the only one wondering how it would be to have another baby. That natural urge to it fill the gap that’s created when you  ‘lose’ one baby to a kindy teacher.

We are moving!

Instead I am thrilled to have dealt with this urge to procreate by  deciding to expand in another direction.  Rather than my waistline expanding, it will be instead, more square meterage in our gorgeous purpose designed new studio in our next door suburb Balgowlah. I realised in order to increase of timetable of class offerings and provide a quality class experience, it was time, after two years, to create a new haven. What fun to ‘birth’ a whole new space dedicated to health and healing. We have good long stay parking. We will be near the Bunnings (for all your post class hardware needs (!!) and an easy walk from Stocklands to the south and Woolworths to the north.

With our fabulous teachers, I feel we had made a warm and therapeutic space to visit. Friendships have been created over post class lattes and many laughs and sorrows shared. Breakthroughs have happened on the mat and all manner of emotions have been held in the old space .Thank you Students for making the space become what it became. Our new space will feel the same but better! And you’ll have more space to stretch without fear of placing your toe in someone’s ear!! (OK this never actually happened but you get what I mean!) It is looking beautiful and we can’t wait to share it with you!

Who moved my Cheese?

We be closer to some of you and further away from others. Some of you who could previously walk up to class will now have to drive. Others who needed to drive can now walk. Each of you will get more space for your bodyminds to tone, work and stretch  to the max  and  great unlimited hour parking, and the chance to enjoy more class options. Not to mention three great Chai options  in the three café’s on Roseberry street. (A joy close to my heart!).

New adventures at our new haven

Life is ever changing and I have learnt that to resist change when it knocks at the door creates struggle and pain.  Let’s move forward together with grace to our wonderful new haven. Let’s embrace new miracles together and live with joy in our hearts. Our first class will be tomorrow. I am so thrilled – can’t wait to see you all!

Thank you Jenny for allowing me to have one solid day each week at the computer while you baked and bike rode with my children,  and for allowing my darling hubby to join me in yoga class each Tuesday night while you brushed our children’ teeth and read them bedtime books. We will so miss you, and your smiling face in booty barre classes, and wish you the best in NZ !!

In the true community spirit I have been so heartened by the help that comes naturally through friendships, neighbours, not to mention the work of tradie husbands of our students! Thank you to our excellent builder Jason Jungblutt and Electrician Simon Mackay  for your on time expert help . Thank you Michael, Ulla, Carly, Alexandra, Noona and Wendy for your kind help and support during moving week and thank you hubby who provided so much emotional and tech support, and, never a good shopper, even surrendered  IKEA for this cause.

Thank you kind students, for supporting the studio through its infancy, helping us grow in our endeavours to bring light, health and happiness to the Northern Beaches. We are nearly two years old and what a perfect time to grow. When the time is right it can all happen with grace.

With my daughter starting kindy I am reminded that had the option to start her at big school last February, but realising she wasn’t ready we held off.  This time around, rather than fear and dread, we have instead enjoyed a smiling bright-eyed anticipation to big school and she’s taken to it like a duck to water.  I have many times been thankful we didn’t start her young but had an extra year at  home to nurture her spirit and support any insecurities. It’s been a delightful year for us, continuing to grow a delightful girl. I feel like this about the classes. It’s the right time to let go of our old venue. let go of fear and move forward with joy to our gorgeous new home.
