We are so excited to bring you themed yoga classes every week that is designed to target tight muscles and specific areas of your mind and body. Check out our schedules below. All classes are suitable for all levels. Book in using your regular class pass.

THURSDAY THEMES

Join us each Thursday evening over Winter to keep your body warm and supple as you explore these themed yoga classes. Make inroads into easing your tight areas, develop strength where you need it and shine the lights of illumination over your wintry body. Each Thursday 7.30-8.40pm with Cristina A.

27 June – Lower Back Strength and Suppleness

Yes! It is possible for you to love how your back feels! This class is pure TLC for your back. Over 70 minutes, take your lower back through its range of motion using creative yoga postures. You can work more gently or stronger with various options offered.

4 July – Happy Hips

There’s nothing quite like freedom in the hips! It can feel mood changing! This class will touch your body all over but dwelve specifically into the mechanics and releasing movements of your hips.

Hug attention into your hips as you work with internal and external hip rotation movements, release the deep hip rotator muscles of the glutes, lengthen and strengthen the inner thighs, stretch out the front and back thighs. 

11 July – Hamstring Help

Want to feel loose and luscious as you move through the world? We often love   to blame our hamstrings so this class will offer you some long deep stretches for the back of the tights. But because tightness can be right through your back body, we’ll cover the whole posterior chain too. And because sometimes it’s the glutes that masquerade as hamstring tightness we’ll do those too. You will saunter out of this class and sashay into Friday! 

18 July Perfect Posture

Explore the movements of your spine with deep twists, lateral releases, forward folding and backbending. This yoga class will ‘kiss’ your body all over but gives attention to the releases possible for you of the muscles related to your spine’s holding patterns and helping you build strength where you would benefit by developing it.

WEDNESDAY THEMES

You are all welcome to join Petra’s Wednesday night Yin classes that offers wonderful themes that helps you build balance, strength, and focus. Classes start at 6.15pm and ends at 7.15pm.

26 June  Happy Hips

The hips are connected with your emotions. They are also connected with your first chakra that grounds you. If you ground down with yoga postures and also open the hips to correct alignment, you will flush prana through your body and you start to shine.During this class you will make the poses work for you. You’ll breathe into your hips, and with good alignment, create happy, smiley hips.

 

July 3 – Opening of the Front Body for Natural Posture Perfection

This is a must do for the colder weather. During this class you will open through your shoulders and hips and work with the lung energy. Benefits of this practice is that you can then soften the organs in the belly.  Once you can breath better you can connect again with your bodily experience, open your heart centre, lengthen your body and find your way back to your innate perfect posture.

July 10 – Flush your Body

This yin class will use postures and massage release balls to open the back line of the body. You will stretch out your shoulders, stimulate the kidney energy, release the glutes and TFL all of which offer great benefits for the lower back.

Pressure point stimulation will follow the nadis (yoga energy meridians). Working up from feet, through calves, knees to help your lower back let go of tensions and bring your spine into better alignment.

This class will cleanse the back line, get rid of bad energy and flush it with good prana.

July 17- Neck and Shoulders, Breath, Vitality

July 24 – A Massage for your Heart!

This is a heart opening class featuring movement with specific breathwork plus a feature meditation. It is so good for the soul to have feelings arise and be smoothly released.

This class includes a heart meditation so what’s blocked can clear through, what you need to let go of, you can just drop, and what makes you happy, will make you smile. Feel the benefits, smile and shine!
